Nichia America Corporation is the U.S. subsidiary of the world’s leading manufacturer of LED’s and specialty chemicals.   As the world’s largest supplier of LED's our sales offices are responsible for bringing these products to our customers for use in display, LCD backlighting, automotive and other general applications.

We are seeking experienced professionals and recent college graduates to join our U.S. team as Technical Sales Engineers to advance our growth in the emerging solid state lighting market. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge, application requirements, competitive landscape and market dynamics
  • Manage established client base while adding new prospects and market opportunities
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer’s core objectives and needs in order to properly match the company’s products and services
  • Create and deliver presentations
  • Achieve or exceed sales objectives
  • Attend Trade Shows and Conferences
  • Travel to customer locations frequently for in person product promotion
  • Travel up to 30%
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Material Science from an accredited university
  • Experience in engineering or sales in a technical or commercial role preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in LED’s helpful, but not required
  • Ability to speak comfortably in front of groups
  • Technically-minded, ability to discuss products and developments with customers
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
