Nichia Files a Patent Infringement Lawsuit against LED Products of Everlight Sold by Arrow in Australia

On June 3, 2014, Nichia Corporation (“Nichia”) filed a patent infringement lawsuit in Australia at the Federal Court of Australia, New South Wales District Registry seeking an injunction to restrain Arrow Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (“Arrow”) from infringing Nichia’s YAG patent (Australian Patent No. 720234) and claiming damages or an account of profits for the infringement with regards to LED products with the respective product numbers below manufactured by Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Everlight”), a LED assembly manufacturer in Taiwan, and imported and sold by Arrow in Australia.
