Tokushima, Japan – 13 April 2026: Nichia, the world's largest LED manufacturer and inventor of the high-brightness blue and white LEDs, was featured in a television program produced by Nankai Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Matsuyama City, Ehime; President & CEO: Koji Onishi), which closely follows the development of the mercury-free UV-LED water sterilization equipment manufactured by Miura Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Yoneda; hereinafter “MIURA”).
MIURA's Mercury-free UV-LED Water Sterilization Equipment uses Nichia's light sources. The television program presents behind-the-scenes stories of the development process and highlights how MIURA and Nichia worked together throughout the project.
